The Baby Lauryn Elizabeth Project

October is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month.

Pregnancy & Infant Loss touches the lives of 1 in 4 families in Canada.  The Baby Lauryn Elizabeath Project raises funds to provide Infant Loss Memory Boxes, Angel Gowns, as well as handprint and footprint kits to families during their time of loss.

Funds are raised through the sale of "Wings of Hope Butterflies" for $20 each during the month of October. The 2024 Wings of Hope ornament was designed with the help of Baby Lauryn Elizabeth's family and features her footprint in the butterfly wings.

Together, we are Caring for our Communities.

The Impact of Your Donations

The Baby Lauryn Elizabeth Project supports local families experiencing Pregnancy & Infant Loss on the Burin Peninsula.

Thanks to donations from local families and community partners, this program has provided Infant Loss Kits, Memory Boxes and Angel Gowns, which are given to families at their time of loss. In addition, donations to this project have purchased a Cuddle Cot, which will give families on of the most precious gifts: time to grieve.  Finally, artwork entitled, "The Springtime of Life" was designed for the Nursery Room windows of the BPHCC. This painting, commissioned by artist, Jim Miles, personifies new life and creation, honors pregnancy and infant loss, and celebrates rainbow babies.
